Sing Out 2!

A Fantastic Song of Celebration!

This week we hosted our second Sing Out festival at which we were joined by four other local schools.

Our Theatre was absolutely buzzing as pupils from Stormont, Little Heath, Brookmans Park and Pope Paul Schools joined Lochinver House to share a day of fun warm ups and activities as well as collaborative songs. Each School came fully prepared with their chosen song and there was a delightful variety of repertoire including Ben E. King’s  ‘Stand by me’ and ‘Naughty’ from the musical Matilda.

All 180 pupils worked tirelessly throughout the day giving their absolute best. The final performance to parents from all schools was absolutely spectacular and many pupils didn’t want the day to end. One parent commented ‘I really enjoyed watching the children perform as individual schools as well as together. And I must say my son has not stopped talking about his day at school today.’

It is safe to say that the day was a great success with many pupils not only sharing songs but also making new friends.
