Carols by Candlelight 2022

This week our Senior Choir had the honour of returning to St Mary and St Michael Roman Catholic Church in the Diocese of Westminster for their annual Carols by Candlelight service. 

Once more, our Senior Choir joined forces with that of Westcliffe High School for Boys and sang traditional carols, verses and solos.  The church was softly lit with twinkling candles while the story of the birth of Christ was told through a series of readings, the congregation joined in with the carols and Mrs Ault took our breath away with her solo of ‘O Holy Night’.

Father Willie Skehan, Dean of Westminster, closed the service with his heartfelt thanks to all of the children for getting the festive season underway so beautifully, for leaving their lasting impression behind and for ‘being the blessing’.  Father Willie’s wise message to the boys was to always remember to be true to themselves.

The occasion would not have been possible without the expert guidance and organisation of Mr Camillo, the staff and parents who accompanied and supported the boys throughout the day and everyone who joined the congregation, thank you!.   

Our grateful thanks must also go to Father Willie for hosting and facilitating such a wonderful and memorable evening and, above all, we thank our boys for being such wonderful ambassadors of Lochinver House.  We truly are incredibly proud of you all.
